Customer Policy

Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy explains the general cancellation, refund and payment adjustment process applicable to services requested from Globe Moving & Relocation.

Last Updated: 13 August 2026

Globe Moving & Relocation aims to provide clear and transparent information regarding cancellations and refunds. The actual refund applicable to a particular booking may depend on the quotation, booking confirmation, invoice, services already performed and expenses incurred for the customer's shipment.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to moving and relocation services requested through Globe Moving & Relocation, including where applicable:

  • Domestic household relocation
  • Office and corporate relocation
  • International moving
  • Packing services
  • Transportation services
  • Car transportation
  • Bike transportation
  • Storage services
  • Export packing
  • Freight and logistics coordination

Specific booking terms may apply to individual services and may supplement this general policy.

2. Cancellation Request

Customers who wish to cancel a confirmed or requested service should contact Globe Moving & Relocation as soon as possible.

Cancellation requests should preferably be submitted in writing by email so that the request can be properly recorded and reviewed.

Important: A cancellation request is not considered complete until it has been received and acknowledged through an appropriate business communication channel.

3. Cancellation Before Service Preparation

If a customer cancels before substantial service preparation or third-party arrangements have begun, the cancellation may be eligible for a refund of the amount received, subject to any applicable non-refundable charges expressly communicated to the customer.

The applicable refund will be determined after reviewing the booking and any costs already incurred.

4. Cancellation After Service Preparation

If cancellation occurs after packing materials have been procured, packing has started, manpower has been scheduled, vehicles have been arranged or other service preparations have been undertaken, amounts relating to services already performed or expenses already incurred may be deducted from any applicable refund.

The remaining eligible amount, if any, will be reviewed based on the circumstances of the booking.

5. Cancellation After Packing or Loading

If packing, loading or other physical moving work has already commenced, charges relating to work completed, materials used, manpower arranged and other reasonable expenses already incurred may not be refundable.

Any remaining refundable amount will depend on the individual booking and applicable service documentation.

6. Cancellation After Dispatch

Once goods have been dispatched or transportation has commenced, cancellation may involve transportation, handling, storage, return, rerouting or third-party charges.

Such charges may be deducted from any amount otherwise eligible for refund.

Depending on the circumstances, a cancellation after dispatch may result in little or no refund where the amount received has already been substantially committed to the shipment.

7. International Shipment Cancellation

International moving cancellations may involve additional costs because of freight bookings, port arrangements, documentation, customs-related procedures, destination services and third-party logistics arrangements.

Where such costs have already been incurred or become non-refundable with a third-party provider, they may be deducted from any applicable refund.

International shipments may therefore have different cancellation consequences from domestic moving services.

8. Third-Party Charges

A moving service may involve independent third-party providers, including transportation companies, freight providers, storage facilities, carriers, ports, destination agents and other logistics providers.

If a cancellation results in charges being imposed by such providers, those charges may be deducted from any refund where they are attributable to the customer's booking.

9. Customer-Requested Date Changes

A request to change the moving date is not necessarily treated as a cancellation.

Date changes may be accommodated where operationally possible and subject to availability.

Additional costs may apply where a date change requires rescheduling manpower, vehicles, storage, freight, accommodation or third-party services.

10. Changes in Service Requirements

If the customer changes the origin, destination, shipment size, number of goods, packing requirements, storage period or other material service requirements, the original quotation may need to be revised.

Any additional amount resulting from changed requirements may become payable before or during the revised service, as applicable.

11. Refund Eligibility

Refund eligibility may depend on:

  • Time of cancellation
  • Service stage at the time of cancellation
  • Services already performed
  • Materials already used
  • Manpower already scheduled or deployed
  • Vehicle or transportation arrangements
  • Storage arrangements
  • Freight or carrier bookings
  • Third-party expenses
  • Government or documentation charges
  • Terms specifically stated in the booking documentation

12. Non-Refundable Costs

Amounts relating to services already performed or expenses already incurred may not be refundable.

This may include, where applicable:

  • Packing materials already purchased or used
  • Packing services already completed
  • Loading or handling charges already incurred
  • Vehicle booking charges
  • Transportation charges already incurred
  • Storage charges already incurred
  • Freight booking charges
  • Third-party cancellation charges
  • Government or documentation charges
  • Other reasonable expenses already incurred for the booking

13. Refund Processing

Once a refund has been approved, it will be processed through an appropriate payment method, subject to the applicable payment system and banking procedures.

Customers may be required to provide appropriate payment or bank information where necessary to process an approved refund.

Bank processing times may vary and may be outside the direct control of Globe Moving & Relocation.

14. Refund Review

Refund requests are reviewed based on the booking records, payment records, service stage, applicable quotation, cancellation request and expenses incurred.

Where necessary, the customer may be asked to provide additional information relating to the booking.

15. Services Already Completed

Payments relating to services that have already been fully completed are generally not refundable merely because the customer later changes their preference.

Any exception will depend on the specific circumstances and applicable service documentation.

16. Customer Failure to Provide Access or Information

If a scheduled service cannot proceed because the customer fails to provide access, correct address information, required documents, parking arrangements or other necessary cooperation, additional charges may apply where reasonable costs are incurred.

Such circumstances may also affect cancellation or refund eligibility.

17. Customs or Government-Related Issues

International shipments may be delayed, held or otherwise affected by customs, government authorities, documentation requirements or destination-country regulations.

Amounts already paid for services, freight, documentation or third-party arrangements may not automatically become refundable because of such circumstances.

18. Cancellation by the Service Provider

In certain circumstances, Globe Moving & Relocation may be unable to provide a requested service because of operational, legal, safety, route, transportation or third-party circumstances.

Where a service is cancelled by the business before it is provided, the customer will be informed and the applicable payment will be reviewed for refund or adjustment in accordance with the circumstances and applicable booking terms.

19. Duplicate or Incorrect Payments

If a customer accidentally makes a duplicate payment or pays an incorrect amount, the customer should contact us promptly with the relevant payment details.

After verification, any eligible excess amount may be adjusted or refunded through an appropriate payment method.

20. No Automatic Cash Refund

Approved refunds are generally processed through an appropriate traceable payment method rather than an automatic cash refund.

The payment method used may depend on the original payment method, applicable banking procedures and the circumstances of the refund.

21. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

Customers should email their request to:

Info@globepacker.in

Please include your name, booking or quotation reference, moving details, payment information and reason for cancellation or refund request.

22. Policy Changes

Globe Moving & Relocation may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy from time to time to reflect changes in business practices, services, payment procedures or applicable requirements.

The updated version will be published on this page with a revised β€œLast Updated” date.
