Shipping & Delivery Policy

This policy explains how Globe Moving & Relocation handles pickup, packing, loading, transportation, international shipping, delivery and related relocation services.

Last Updated: 13 August 2026

Globe Moving & Relocation provides moving and relocation services for domestic and international requirements. The exact process, schedule, transportation method and charges depend on the customer's shipment, origin, destination and agreed service.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Shipping & Delivery Policy applies to moving, relocation, transportation, packing, storage and related delivery services arranged or coordinated by Globe Moving & Relocation.

The applicable quotation, booking confirmation, invoice, service agreement and other written service documentation may contain additional terms specific to an individual move.

2. Types of Services

Household and commercial relocation services between locations within India.

International Moving

International relocation and shipment coordination involving origin and destination countries.

Storage

Storage arrangements may be available depending on location, availability and applicable terms.

Packing Services

Packing, wrapping, loading and handling services may be included depending on the selected package.

3. Booking Confirmation

A moving service is considered scheduled only after the applicable booking requirements have been completed and the booking has been confirmed by Globe Moving & Relocation.

Availability of a quotation or enquiry does not by itself guarantee a confirmed moving date.

4. Information Required From Customers

Customers should provide accurate information necessary for planning the move, including where applicable:

  • Pickup address
  • Delivery address
  • Moving date
  • Type of property
  • Approximate quantity of goods
  • Furniture and appliance details
  • Floor and access information
  • Lift availability
  • Vehicle access information
  • Special handling requirements
  • Destination-country information for international moves

5. Pickup

Pickup is carried out at the address and time agreed for the confirmed booking, subject to access, traffic, weather, local restrictions and other operational conditions.

Customers should ensure that the pickup location is reasonably accessible to the assigned moving team and vehicle.

6. Packing

Where packing is included in the selected service, eligible household or commercial goods may be packed using appropriate packing materials and handling procedures.

The level of packing depends on the service selected and the nature of the goods.

7. Customer-Packed Goods

Where customers choose to pack their own belongings, they are responsible for ensuring that goods are packed appropriately and that prohibited or restricted items are not included.

Special or fragile goods should be disclosed before transportation.

8. Loading

After packing or preparation, eligible goods may be loaded into the assigned transportation vehicle or shipping arrangement.

Loading procedures may vary depending on the property, access conditions, type of goods and transportation method.

9. Transportation

Transportation may be carried out directly or through transportation, freight or logistics partners depending on the nature and destination of the shipment.

The transportation method may include road, rail, sea, air or a combination of transportation modes for eligible international shipments.

10. Estimated Delivery Time

Delivery timelines provided during quotation or booking are estimates unless a specific delivery commitment has been expressly agreed in writing.

Actual delivery time may vary depending on distance, route, traffic, weather, transportation availability, customs procedures, documentation, port operations and other circumstances outside ordinary scheduling control.

11. Domestic Delivery

Domestic shipments are transported from the confirmed origin location to the agreed destination location using the applicable transportation arrangement.

Delivery may be affected by road conditions, traffic, local restrictions, vehicle access and other operational circumstances.

12. International Shipping

International moving may involve multiple transportation stages and third-party logistics providers.

Depending on the shipment, international transportation may involve origin handling, export procedures, freight transportation, customs clearance, destination handling and final delivery.

13. Customs & Import Requirements

International shipments may be subject to customs inspection, import regulations, duties, taxes, documentation requirements and other government procedures.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate documents and information required for their shipment.

Customs authorities may delay, inspect, hold, reject or impose charges on shipments according to applicable laws and regulations.

14. Customs Duties & Government Charges

Customs duties, import taxes, port charges, examination charges, storage charges, government fees and other destination-related costs may apply to international shipments.

Unless specifically included in the agreed quotation, such charges may be payable separately by the customer.

15. Destination Delivery

Final delivery is made to the agreed destination address subject to accessibility and the applicable service scope.

Customers should ensure that the delivery location is accessible and that any required building permissions, parking arrangements or access approvals are available.

16. Unloading

Where unloading is included in the selected service, eligible goods may be unloaded at the agreed destination.

Additional handling may apply where the actual destination conditions differ materially from those provided at the time of quotation.

17. Difficult Access Conditions

Additional charges or operational arrangements may apply where access is restricted or difficult.

Examples may include:

  • Very narrow roads
  • Restricted vehicle access
  • Long carrying distances
  • Stairs without suitable lift access
  • Limited parking
  • Building restrictions
  • Special lifting requirements
  • Additional manpower requirements

18. Delays

Delivery may be delayed due to circumstances including traffic, weather, vehicle breakdown, road restrictions, labour issues, customs procedures, port congestion, documentation issues, government action or other circumstances beyond reasonable operational control.

Where a material delay becomes known, reasonable efforts may be made to communicate relevant information to the customer.

19. Customer Availability

Customers should remain available or nominate an authorised person to receive the shipment at the agreed delivery time.

Failed delivery attempts, waiting time, re-delivery, additional storage or additional transportation may result in additional charges where applicable.

20. Change of Delivery Address

Customers should notify Globe Moving & Relocation as soon as possible if the delivery address changes.

A change of destination may result in additional transportation, handling, storage, documentation or other charges.

21. Storage During Transit

In certain circumstances, goods may need to remain in temporary storage before final delivery.

Additional storage charges may apply depending on the reason, duration and applicable service arrangement.

22. Vehicle Transportation

Vehicle transportation schedules depend on route, transporter availability, vehicle type, documentation and applicable transportation arrangements.

Customers should ensure that required vehicle documents and information are available before transportation.

23. Shipment Tracking

Where tracking information is available for a particular transportation arrangement, relevant tracking or shipment status information may be provided to the customer.

Tracking availability may vary depending on the transportation method and logistics provider.

24. Prohibited & Restricted Goods

Customers must not include prohibited or restricted goods in a shipment without prior confirmation and all legally required approvals.

Examples may include hazardous materials, explosives, illegal substances, certain chemicals, firearms, ammunition, flammable materials and other restricted items.

Customers should refer to the separate Prohibited & Restricted Items Policy for additional information.

25. Insurance & Transit Protection

Where insurance or transit protection is available and selected, the applicable insurance terms, conditions, exclusions and limits will apply.

Insurance is not automatically assumed to be included unless specifically stated in the applicable quotation, booking documentation or insurance document.

26. Inspection at Delivery

Customers are encouraged to inspect their goods at the time of delivery and identify any visible damage or shortage as soon as reasonably possible.

Photographs and other supporting evidence should be retained where a loss or damage issue is identified.

27. Delivery Completion

Delivery may be considered completed when the eligible shipment has been delivered to the agreed destination and the applicable delivery or handover process has been completed.

Where applicable, customers may be requested to acknowledge receipt of the shipment or delivery documentation.

28. Additional Services

Services outside the originally agreed scope may be chargeable separately.

Additional services may include:

31. Refunds & Cancellation

Cancellation, refund and rescheduling matters are handled according to the applicable booking terms and the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Costs already incurred for transportation, packing, storage, third-party services or other arrangements may affect the amount eligible for refund.

32. Third-Party Logistics Providers

Depending on the shipment, Globe Moving & Relocation may coordinate with transportation companies, freight providers, storage facilities, destination service providers and other logistics partners.

Certain operational procedures may therefore depend on the requirements and availability of the relevant provider.
