Moving & Service Delivery Policy

This policy explains how Globe Moving & Relocation generally manages packing, pickup, loading, transportation, storage and delivery for domestic and international relocation services.

Last Updated: 13 August 2026

Moving and relocation services are planned according to the customer's requirements, the agreed quotation, booking confirmation, route, shipment characteristics and operational availability. The actual process may vary depending on the nature and destination of each move.

1. Scope of Services

Depending on the service selected, Globe Moving & Relocation may provide or coordinate:

  • Household relocation
  • Residential moving
  • Office and corporate relocation
  • Domestic moving
  • International moving
  • Packing and unpacking
  • Loading and unloading
  • Transportation
  • Storage
  • Car transportation
  • Bike transportation
  • Export packing
  • Freight and logistics coordination
  • Destination delivery arrangements

Not every service is available for every route or shipment. The applicable quotation and booking confirmation determine the specific services included.

2. Moving Service Process

A typical relocation may involve the following stages:

1

Enquiry & Requirement Assessment

Customer requirements, origin, destination, moving date, shipment details and requested services are reviewed.

2

Quotation

A quotation may be prepared based on the information and requirements available at the time of assessment.

3

Booking Confirmation

Once applicable booking requirements are completed, arrangements for the selected service may be scheduled.

4

Packing & Preparation

Packing and shipment preparation are carried out according to the selected service.

5

Loading & Transportation

Goods are loaded and transported using the applicable transportation arrangement.

6

Delivery & Unloading

Goods are delivered to the agreed destination subject to access and service conditions.

3. Pickup Arrangements

Customers should provide accurate pickup address details and inform us of any access restrictions that may affect loading.

Relevant information may include:

  • Complete pickup address
  • Building or property details
  • Floor number
  • Lift availability
  • Stair access
  • Parking availability
  • Building access restrictions
  • Special loading requirements

4. Packing Services

Where packing is included in the selected service, appropriate packing materials and handling methods may be used according to the type of goods.

Depending on the shipment, packing materials may include protective wrapping, bubble wrap, corrugated sheets, stretch film, cartons, wooden crates or other suitable materials.

Customers should identify fragile, valuable, oversized or specially handled items before packing begins.

5. Customer's Responsibility for Goods

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information about the goods being moved.

Customers should disclose:

  • Fragile items
  • High-value items
  • Oversized items
  • Special handling requirements
  • Hazardous or restricted items
  • Items requiring special documentation

6. Prohibited & Restricted Goods

Customers must not include illegal, prohibited, explosive, hazardous or restricted goods in a shipment without appropriate disclosure and legally required authorization.

The acceptance of any item may also be subject to carrier, transportation, customs and destination-country requirements.

7. Loading

Loading is performed according to the agreed service and the conditions at the pickup location.

Customers should ensure reasonable access to the property and inform the service team of any conditions that may affect loading.

Difficult access, additional floors, restricted parking, long carrying distances or other special circumstances may affect the service requirements or charges.

8. Transportation

Transportation arrangements depend on the selected service, shipment size, origin, destination and route.

Transportation may be performed directly or coordinated with appropriate transportation or logistics providers.

Transit conditions may vary depending on road conditions, traffic, weather, vehicle availability and other operational circumstances.

9. Transit & Delivery Timelines

Any transit or delivery time communicated during an enquiry or quotation is generally an estimate unless a specific written commitment has been agreed.

Delivery may be affected by:

  • Traffic and road conditions
  • Weather
  • Vehicle availability
  • Carrier schedules
  • Route restrictions
  • Government procedures
  • Customs procedures
  • Port or airport congestion
  • Documentation issues
  • Other circumstances outside reasonable control

10. Delivery Location

Delivery is generally made to the destination address specified in the applicable booking or service documentation.

The customer should ensure that the destination is reasonably accessible for the selected vehicle and delivery arrangement.

If the agreed delivery location cannot be accessed, alternative arrangements may be required and additional charges may apply where reasonable costs are incurred.

11. Unloading & Unpacking

Unloading and unpacking services are provided only where included in the selected service.

Customers should confirm the required scope of unpacking or placement services before the move is finalized.

12. International Moving

International moving may involve multiple stages, including export preparation, freight transportation, customs procedures, destination handling and final delivery.

International shipments may involve independent freight, logistics, customs-related and destination service providers.

Important: International delivery timelines can vary significantly depending on freight schedules, customs clearance, documentation, destination regulations and other factors outside the direct control of the service provider.

13. Customs & Documentation

Customers are responsible for providing accurate documents and information required for their shipment.

International shipments may require documentation such as identity documents, inventories, invoices, declarations, customs documents or other paperwork depending on the shipment and destination.

Customs decisions and government requirements remain subject to the relevant authorities.

14. Duties, Taxes & Government Charges

International shipments may be subject to import duties, taxes, customs charges, port charges, documentation fees and other government or destination-related costs.

Unless expressly included in the applicable quotation, such charges should not be assumed to be included in the moving price.

15. Storage Services

Where storage is selected, the storage period, charges, access conditions and other applicable terms will be determined by the relevant service documentation.

Customers must not place prohibited, illegal or hazardous goods into storage.

16. Vehicle Transportation

Car and bike transportation services are subject to route, vehicle type, availability, transportation method and applicable documentation.

Customers should provide accurate vehicle information before transportation.

Customers should remove personal belongings from the vehicle unless otherwise agreed in writing.

17. Delays

Reasonable efforts are made to coordinate services according to the agreed schedule. However, delays may occur because of circumstances outside reasonable operational control.

Such circumstances may include:

  • Severe weather
  • Road closures
  • Traffic disruption
  • Vehicle breakdown
  • Carrier delays
  • Port congestion
  • Customs delays
  • Government restrictions
  • Security restrictions
  • Documentation problems
  • Other unforeseen operational circumstances

18. Delivery Inspection

Customers are encouraged to inspect goods at the time of delivery and identify any visible damage, shortage or other issue as soon as reasonably possible.

Photographs, videos, delivery documents and other relevant evidence may be requested where a claim or service issue is reported.

19. Insurance

Where transit insurance is available and selected, coverage is governed by the applicable insurance policy.

Insurance coverage may contain exclusions, conditions, limits and claim procedures. Customers should review applicable insurance documents carefully.

20. Third-Party Service Providers

Certain parts of a relocation may be carried out or coordinated through independent third-party providers.

These may include:

  • Transportation providers
  • Freight companies
  • Storage providers
  • Customs-related service providers
  • Destination agents
  • Carriers
  • Other logistics providers

21. Changes to Service Requirements

Customers should communicate changes to their moving requirements as early as possible.

Changes to the moving date, origin, destination, shipment quantity, packing requirements, storage requirements or other material details may affect pricing, availability and delivery arrangements.

22. Customer Cooperation

Customers are expected to cooperate reasonably with the moving process and provide accurate information, documents and access required for the selected service.

Failure to provide required information, access or documentation may result in delays or additional costs where reasonable expenses are incurred.

23. Service Completion

A service is generally considered completed when the agreed service activities have been performed according to the applicable booking and service documentation.

Where applicable, delivery confirmation, acknowledgment or other service documentation may be used to record completion of delivery.

This Service Delivery Policy should be read together with:
